Provincial Interior Minister Col. (R) Shujaa Khanzada Visits Central Police Office Lahore
Provincial Interior Minister Col. (R) Shujaa Khanzada has visited Central Police Office, Lahore, today. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera and senior officers of CPO received him.
Shujaa Khanzada also made detailed visit of CPO, specially the newly established Central Computerized Complaint Cell (CCC), Control Room and DPR Branch.
While briefing the minister about the working of (CCC), Mushtaq Sukhera said that a paperless communication system has been introduced with the establishment of CCC and its record would be saved forever and could be used any time for future references. He further told that all received complaints from the public through email, telephones and other resources immediately passed to the concerned RPOs, DPOs through SMS and same also conveyed to the complainant for which he can directly get information about its redressal.
The PPO further told that people from remote areas can easily submit their applications because of this system. IGP told that since its inception, 9316 received complaints have been addressed during 16 weeks.
Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera also told the minister about the establishment of Computerized Beat Books system at CPO. While briefing on the occasion about the working of Beat System, AIG Complaints, Kashif Mushtaq Kanju told that according to the crime situation and crime monitoring, management of patrolling plan and operational strategy for the field officers has become more easy in the disturbed beat. He further told that 2,25,000 beat entries have been made and 30,000 POs and 15000 Court Absconders have also been entered in these beat books.
Later, Provincial Minister visited the Central Control Room and upgraded DPR Branch. On this occasion AIG Operations, Romail Akram briefed the minister about the working of control room staff, operational strategy and management of received threat alerts.
Provincial Minister appreciated the historic and revolutionary steps being adopted by the Provincial Police Chief and said that the CCC must have the received calls recording system. IGP Punjab assured the minster that he will coordinate with the concerned departments in this regard, very shortly.
