We have witnessed the revival of Pakistani cinema with the release of blockbusters like Waar and Na Maloom Afrad. Our film industry has once again thrived because of movies like Dekh Magar Pyaar, Shah, Moor, Karachi Se Lahore, Wrong Number , Bin Roye, 3 Bahadur that graced our cinema screens in the past few months.
With the industry in its early stages of reanimation, these films have done surprisingly well on the box office.
The newly released Dekh Magar Pyaar Say is expected to hit the 2.5 crore mark by the end of the week as not many people will show up during the weekdays. The film has managed to make 1.75 crore in 3 days.
Another recent release Karachi Se Lahore was in great demand over the weekend and has managed to collect 8 crore in 17 days. It made 75 lacs over the weekend.
Biographical sports film Shah and Drama film Moor have also received good feedbacks over the weekend and are expected to do good business in the long run. Shah crossed the 1 crore mark with Moor gaining behind it with 90 lacs.
It has been awhile since the release of Bin Roye and Wrong No, yet they still remain in demand at major cinemas. Bin Roye crossed the 10 crore mark after a month of screening while Wrong No collected 13.46 crore. Both these films did a business of 40-43 lacs over the weekend.
3 Bahadur is an animated film that managed to do a business of 6.63 crore since its release. It collected about 40k over the weekend as it had few shows at Cinepax Cinemas only.
