Adnan Pardesy Showcases “Kama” at Telenor Bridal Couture Week 2015

[Karachi: 10th June, 2015] After recently participating at the Qatar International Fashion Fiesta, acclaimed couturier Adnan Pardesy showcased his label’s new “Kama” bridal collection at the prestigious Telenor Bridal Couture Week 2015.

The collection takes its inspiration from traditional sub continental weddings, dramatic cultural personalities and our rich heritage. The Kama collection is a blend of two themes, which are inspired by the enduring legacy of traditional Indo-Pak embellishments and also features contemporary designs with distinct elements depicting architecture and abstract art.

The Kama collection features women’s wear comprising of short shirts, voluminous skirts, capri trousers, sheer fabrics and menswear including sherwanis, Nehru jackets and kurtas embellished with intricate hand embroidery meshed with kora and dabka. The bridal collection amalgamates 3 different colour palettes across 16 bridal outfits; a funky fuschia palette with traditional Chatapatti, a colour palette featuring a riot of colors fused with modern motifs on gold organza and an earthy palette that balances the roaring fuschias. The collection is based on luxe fabrics including crepes, net silk chiffons, jamawaar, organza, tissue and fine silk fabric.

Hailed as “The New King of Couture”, acclaimed designer Adnan Pardesy launched his label in 2007. He defines his design philosophy as minimalism and employs structure and architecture as the inspiration for his design. Adnan Pardesy is known for his attention to details, his work includes Eastern wedding wear, party wear and pret and western wear including bustier, tops, skirts and dresses. He is considered a proficient among peers and media for the mark that he has made in fashion with redefining techniques like pleating, honeycomb, quilting and denim in Pakistan.
