CHITRAL: The global photo contest, organized by the PIXOTO, has chosen Pakistani photographer Rehmat Aziz Chitrali's photo from Shadandur Lake, a popular tourist destination in Khot Valley, Chitral Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan as the best international picture in the Landscape category.
A Pakistani photographer and linguist have been awarded the first-ever PIXOTO Rising Star Award for his beautiful image of Shadandur Lake situated at Khot valley which is located 108 kilometers from the main city of Chitral, on the border of Wakhan corridor.

Pakistani photographer Rehmat Aziz Chitrali brings yet another accolade for the Pakistani nation by winning his second international photography award this year. He has already won an International Innovation Award(Germany) for his new invention of multi-language text editor for Pakistani languages and Rising Star Award for his image of Nichhaagh Valley, Chitral Pakistan.
He won the Innovative Initiative Award, Yasirullah Shaheed Award, Shandoor Award, Chitral Human Development Award, JIY Pakistan Award, SAFE Talent Award, Pride of the Nation Gold Medal & Award, Dr.A.Q.Khan Gold Medal & Award and many national and international awards and recognitions. He has already been awarded the Honorary Degree of Associate Fellowship from Royal Commonwealth Society Great Britain.
In the year 2015, he won UN&YRC Pakistan Youth Icon Award for his outstanding services in the field of linguistics and culture documentation
He is a freelance contributor and pioneer of Khowar Wikipedia and writes in Khowar language articles for Wikimedia foundation. The topic of his core interests include Linguistics, Literature, Peace poetry, social issues like gender discrimination, human rights violations, environmental issues, poverty, education, and social justice.
He is currently busy in writing his Khowar Language Book namely “Muhammad (SAW) on the topic of Sirat-un-Nabi in Chitrali language.
