Punjab Revenue Authority targets the entire food chain through prize plan.

Tax day in Punjab was observed on April 10, in order to encourage tax culture in public. Punjab Revenue Authority Chairman Dr. Raheel Siddiqui Launched the Restaurant Invoice Monitoring System.

Various draws will be taking place all around the province. The CM Punjab who inaugurated the event through a video call said the RIMS is the most cutting edge online monitoring framework for guaranteeing that the expense paid by restaurants reaches the government.

Every customer, who has availed taxable services of any restaurant operating under Restaurant Invoice Monitoring System (RIMS) spending more than one thousand rupees (Rs1,000) [excluding tax] at a time; has provided his name, Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and phone number to the restaurant for printing on the invoice issued to him or has communicated the particulars of invoice on the given short code number through SMS or has sent image of the invoice to the given number of the authority through WhatsApp, can avail the RIMS scheme.

As per Punjab Finance Minister Ayesha Ghaus Pasha," The purpose of the scheme is to generate more resources while remaining transparent and clear. The government is trying to provide a clear taxation structure which will be more progressive and instead of taxing the already burdened population will evenly spread to all the segments of the society"
