Much Anticipated Pakistani Movies Releasing On 14th August 2015 (Pakistan Independence Day)

The past two years have played a vital role in the revival of Pakistani cinema. After almost four decades, this year on 14th August Pakistanis will get a grand cinematic treat. Three Pakistani movies are set to release this independance day all of them featuring completely different genres.

The movies being showcased on cinema screens include Shah, Moor and Dekh Magar Pyaar Say.


Dekh Magar Pyaar Se:


Set in lahore, Dekh Magar Pyaar Say claimed to be a  much awaited film of the year. This romantic comedy directed by Asad ul haq featuring Humaima Malick and debutante Sikander Rizvi is inspired by the culture and places of Lahore. The director claims to debunk all cliches associated to the romantic genre and give it  a brand new outlook.


Shah:


Shah, a biographical sports film based on the true story of a forgotten hero and Olympic medalist boxer Hussain Shah. The film revolves around a homeless child on the streets of Karachi who with perseverance and determination rises to glory and becomes the only Pakistani to win an Olympic medal in that sport. The writer and director who also played the character of Hussain Shah, Adnan Sarwar, had to go through a one year boxing program to fit in the role. Other cast members include Kiran Chaudhry, Sardar Baloch, Adeel Raees and Gulab Chandio.


Moor - The Film:


This independance day audiences will get a chance to witness a story about loyalty to one's motherland, principles and family. Directed by Jami, Moor is an drama film that will highlight the issues in the train network and the breath taking sceneries of Balochistan. Moor stars Hameed Sheikh, Samiya Mumtaz, Abdul Qadir, Shabbir Rana, Ayaz Samoo, Soniya Hussain as well as New York-based actor, Shaz Khan, in prominent roles. The promising soundtrack of the movie will include voices of Strings, Meesha Shafi, Rahim Khan, Javed Bashir, Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia.
